Story Behind the Artwork
The Listeners places two people in quiet conversation beneath a wall of towering faces — four stylized profiles lined up like an audience of emotions. Each face carries its own tone, its own mood, its own way of watching. The rectangular color panels behind them add structure and rhythm, turning the mural into a stage where real life and painted life overlap. The piece explores perception, presence, and the feeling of being surrounded by the many “listeners” that shape every moment of human connection.
